Una iniciativa regional impulsada por Perú

Conectando nuevas ciudades. Abriendo nuevas oportunidades.
La Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil del Perú (DGAC Perú) impulsa una iniciativa de cooperación regional para fortalecer la conectividad aérea entre ciudades y mercados de América Latina y el Caribe.
La propuesta busca avanzar en tres áreas clave:
  • Conectividad descentralizada: Identificar nuevas oportunidades para conectar ciudades secundarias y mercados regionales de manera más directa
  • Innovación regulatoria: Explorar mecanismos piloto que permitan evaluar nuevas alternativas de conectividad regional y transfronteriza, respetando los marcos jurídicos de cada Estado.
  • Capacidad aeroportuaria: Compartir experiencias y buenas prácticas para optimizar el uso de la infraestructura aeroportuaria y acompañar el crecimiento de la conectividad.
La iniciativa será uno de los temas destacados durante WAGA 2026 y el Air Transport Summit, donde autoridades de aviación civil y representantes del sector de la región se reunirán para avanzar en esta agenda.

El 30 de septiembre de 2026, los países participantes prevén considerar la adopción de una *Declaración de Cooperación para el Fomento de la Conectividad Aérea Descentralizada y la Innovación Regulatoria en el Transporte Aéreo Regional*. Una iniciativa impulsada desde Perú para conectar mejor a América Latina y el Caribe.

*El contenido de la Declaración se encuentra en proceso de discusión y estará sujeto a la aprobación y firma de las autoridades participantes.*

A Regional Initiative Led by Peru

Connecting new cities. Opening new opportunities.
The General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics of Peru (DGAC Peru) is leading a regional cooperation initiative to strengthen air connectivity between cities and markets across Latin America and the Caribbean. The proposal focuses on three key areas:
  • Decentralized Air Connectivity: Identifying new opportunities to connect secondary cities and regional markets more directly.
  • Regulatory Innovation: Exploring pilot mechanisms to assess new approaches to regional and cross-border connectivity, while respecting the legal frameworks of each participating State.
  • Airport Capacity: Sharing experiences and best practices to optimize the use of existing airport infrastructure and support the growth of air connectivity.
The initiative will be one of the highlights of WAGA 2026 and the Air Transport Summit, where civil aviation authorities and industry representatives from across the region will come together to advance this agenda.

On September 30, 2026, participating countries are expected to consider the adoption of a Declaration of Cooperation for the Promotion of Decentralized Air Connectivity and Regulatory Innovation in Regional Air Transport. An initiative led by Peru to better connect Latin America and the Caribbean.

The content of the Declaration is currently under discussion and will be subject to the approval and signature of the participating authorities.
