ACI-LAC Green Airport Recognition

The airport industry has developed strategies and programs aiming to reduce the environmental impact on the environment. These efforts have been significant and sustained over time, so much that many of the environmental programs implemented in the airport industry became referents in the transportation sector.

ACI-LAC Green Airport Recognition aims to promote environmental best practices to minimize aviation’s impact on the environment and to recognize airport members who have outstanding accomplishments in their environmental projects.

ACI-LAC Airport Members who have developed an outstanding environmental initiative and wish to share it with the entire airport community are invited to participate.

Participants airports must present their environmental initiative in one of the three (3) following categories: Mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change, Circular Economy and Water Management.

All the initiatives recognized by the judges will be included in a Regional Best Practices Document that
will be shared with the members of ACI-LAC.
