ACI-LAC Green Airport Recognition

The airport industry has developed strategies and programs aiming to reduce the environmental impact on the environment. These efforts have been significant and sustained over time, so much that many of the environmental programs implemented in the airport industry became referents in the transportation sector.

ACI-LAC Green Airport Recognition aims to promote environmental best practices to minimize aviation’s impact on the environment and to recognize airport members who have outstanding accomplishments in their environmental projects.

ACI-LAC Airport Members can submit their outstanding projects in one of the following categories: Mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change, and Circular Economy (circularity of products and materials – water, waste, among others).

All participating projects that meet the criteria will receive the ACI-LAC Green Airport Recognition. This year ACI-LAC will also honor projects that achieve outstanding performance in each of the categories listed above with a Special Recognition.

All the initiatives recognized by the judges will be included in a Regional Best Practices Document that

will be shared with the members of ACI-LAC.
