Panama, October 29, 2026 – Airports Council International – Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) announces the addition of Istmia Advisory & Management as a new World Business Partner (WBP), further strengthening its network of specialized companies supporting airports across the region.
Istmia Advisory & Management is an independent airport practice founded by Felisa Pérez-Luengo, a senior aviation executive with more than 30 years of operational and executive leadership experience across six airport operators in Europe and Latin America.
The firm works with airport operators, investors, public authorities and industry partners to address complex management, organizational and development challenges. Its expertise spans strategy and governance, operational excellence, airport planning and development, and implementation.
“We are pleased to welcome Istmia Advisory & Management to the ACI-LAC World Business Partner community. The experience and expertise that our partners bring to the table are an important part of the value of our network, particularly as airports across Latin America and the Caribbean plan for growth and increasingly complex operational needs. Istmia’s strong airport management and operational perspective will contribute valuable knowledge and experience to our community,” said Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC.
Istmia joins ACI-LAC at a time of continued growth and transformation in airport infrastructure across Latin America and the Caribbean, where the ability to translate investment and development plans into efficient, sustainable operations capable of supporting future demand is becoming increasingly important.
“Latin America and the Caribbean are living through a major airport investment cycle. The challenge is turning that investment into a successful operational reality and a sustainable business. Becoming an ACI-LAC World Business Partner gives Istmia the opportunity to engage with the region’s airport community, bringing another perspective from the operator side and helping turn ambitious plans and investments into results,” said Felisa Pérez-Luengo, Founder & Principal of Istmia Advisory & Management.
Istmia combines experience gained both at the headquarters of major airport operators and on the ground at airports. This perspective provides a practical understanding of how strategic decisions, investment programmes and development plans translate into operational reality, as well as the organizational, technical and business factors that can determine their success.
With Istmia Advisory & Management joining its World Business Partner programme, ACI-LAC continues to expand its community of industry partners and foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise between airports and specialized companies to support the sustainable and efficient development of the airport industry across Latin America and the Caribbean.
