
Lima Airport received three global awards and eight regional recognitions at the FAB Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in airport food, beverage, and hospitality.
The new airport was the South American terminal with the highest number of distinctions, competing alongside international hubs such as Dubai, Changi, Hong Kong, Heathrow, Denver, Antalya, and John F. Kennedy.
Callao, July 16, 2026. Just over a year after the new terminal began operations, the gastronomic proposal of the New Jorge Chávez International Airport was recognized among the best in the world, winning three global awards and eight regional recognitions at the FAB Awards 2026.
Organized by The Moodie Davitt Report, a leading global reference in the travel retail industry, the FAB Awards annually honor the best food, beverage, and hospitality concepts in airports worldwide.
In this edition, the New Jorge Chávez became the South American airport with the highest number of distinctions, competing with major international terminals.
Awarded concepts included:

? Copper – Best Airport Bar & Best Bar Design (Latin America)
? Perusuyo – Best Sense of Place (Global)
? Callao – Best Casual Dining Restaurant (Global)
? Puku Puku – Best Coffee Shop (Latin America)
? La Lucha – Best Grab & Go Offer (Global) & Best Innovative F&B Concept (Latin America)
These results reflect Lima Airport’s strategy of combining Peruvian brands, international operators, and concepts that make national gastronomy an essential part of the travel experience.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Aldo Prieto, participated in the recognition ceremony, highlighting the airport’s operational management and honoring the awarded establishments. He emphasized: “The airport is our calling card. Consolidating ourselves as South America’s hub requires an integral experience: greater aerocommercial capacity, maximum operational efficiency, and the talent of our people to deliver gastronomy that leaves a mark on every passenger.”
Currently, the New Jorge Chávez has 75 commercial establishments across more than 17,000 m², including 30 dedicated to food and beverages.
With these recognitions, Jorge Chávez strengthens its position as Peru’s gateway to the world, projecting its identity, culture, and gastronomy from the very first moment of the passenger experience.
