Operational safety continues to be our highest priority, requiring a significant amount of resources to maintain the appropriate level required by international regulations. To achieve this goal and operate safely, it is essential to work closely with the authorities to formulate appropriate policies and regulations.
ACI-LAC, together with the Regional Operational Safety Committee, works to develop collective positions on issues related to Operational Safety. It also provides a forum for interaction, exchange of opinions and promotion of best practices.
ACI-LAC works closely with its member airports, authorities, ICAO NACC and SAM regional offices, as well as other industry stakeholders to develop best practices and implement regional initiatives to raise safety levels in the region.
For member airports, ACI provides technical reviews (APEX Program), training, advice and documentation to improve safety.
Works in conjunction with international organizations, including ICAO, IATA, Flight Safety Foundation, CANSO, IFALPA, ICCAIA and others, to ensure that new developments and policies reflect the airport’s interests.
