ACI-LAC Welcomes iCoupon as a New World Business Partner
ACI-LAC welcomes iCoupon as a strategic partner to drive digital innovation in airports across Latin America and the Caribbean. The digital voucher platform enhances operational efficiency and elevates the passenger experience

Panama, March 26,2026 – Airports Council International – Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) is pleased to welcome iCoupon, a leading digital vouchering platform for the aviation industry, as a new World Business Partner (WBP). The partnership will support collaboration between airports and technology providers to improve operational efficiency, passenger care, and commercial performance across the region.

iCoupon enables airports, airlines, and merchants to issue and redeem digital vouchers directly through a passenger’s boarding pass—whether printed or digital—removing the need for paper vouchers, physical distribution points, or additional mobile applications. During disruptions, vouchers can be activated instantly and redeemed by simply scanning the boarding pass at participating outlets, helping reduce queues and easing pressure on frontline airport teams.

“Joining ACI-LAC is an important step for iCoupon given our tremendous growth in the region already working with many airports, retailers and airline partners across Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Richard Bye, CEO of iCoupon. “Through ACI-LAC, we look forward to sharing insights, supporting airport priorities, and contributing practical, technology-led approaches that improve passenger care, disruption management, and collaboration across the airport ecosystem.”

The platform is already delivering results at close to 400 international airports and issued over £120m of vouchers in 2025 alone. In parallel, Copenhagen Airport recently became the first airport in the world to fully eliminate all types of paper vouchers, implementing iCoupon digital vouchering across all airlines, ground handlers, retailers, lounges and airport teams. The solution allows entitlements to be issued instantly to boarding passes during disruptions, helping maintain smoother passenger flow and reducing congestion at service desks.

Beyond operational benefits, iCoupon has also demonstrated strong commercial value for airports. At Dublin Airport, a promotional campaign using iCoupon digital vouchers to encourage app downloads generated a 32% redemption rate—far exceeding typical airport promotion benchmarks—and resulted in a 24% increase in transaction value, as passengers spent beyond the voucher amount.

“Technology partnerships like iCoupon’s are essential to helping airports in Latin America and the Caribbean continue to innovate and enhance the passenger experience,” said Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC. “We are pleased to welcome iCoupon to our community and look forward to fostering collaboration with our airport members across the region.”

Through its membership, iCoupon will engage with ACI-LAC airports to share expertise and support digital innovation across airport operations and passenger services.
