Carriel Sur International Airport Receives Airport Health Accreditation (AHA)

Panama, August 18, 2021 – Airports Council International – Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) announces that Chile’s Carriel Sur International Airport (CCP) has received certification from the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) program, which evaluates how aligned they are with the health protocols proposed by the ACI Business Restart and Recover guidelines and that they are aligned with the recommendations of the Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Sociedad Concesionaria Aeropuerto Carriel Sur S.A. has taken a fundamental step for the airport sector today by acquiring this accreditation, which demonstrates that they are committed to health safety protocols to safeguard the public health of their employees, passengers and the general public at their airport.

More than 350 airports are already worldwide certified by the AHA Program, among them, in addition to Carriel Sur International Airport, 3 others are accredited in Chile: Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport, Diego Aracena Airport, and Andres Sabella Airport.
